At the November 9, 2018 meeting – 7:00 PM at the Rochester IL Community Center – CIDS will be hosting a Garden Judge Workshop 1. The workshop will be taught by AHS Garden Judge Michael Bouman of St. Peters MO . The cost of the workshop is $5.00 each for those wanting AHS credit to become a garden judge or $3.00 each for anyone wanting to participate. The workshop fee for CIDS members will be paid for by the club.
All students should be prepared for the class & are encouraged to download the pdf version, “GARDEN JUDGES HANDBOOK”, free from the AHS website. A soft cover handbook is also available from Amazon.com at a small cost. Send any questions to firstname.lastname@example.org

The March meeting will be held on Sunday the 18th from 12-4pm at the Rochester Community Building. Gayle Story of Nature’s Edge Daylilies, Danville IL will give a talk on her hybridizing program. She and her husband Rick have been hobby gardening for almost 30 years. She has been hybridizing for almost as long. Her focus is on blue/lavenders, true reds, eyed patterns and deep true purples. She grows strong hardy plants in an open prairie setting.
We will also auction some of her creations at this meeting to be delivered sometime in May. Hope to see you there!!
CIDS held their annual daylily sale August 5, 2017 at the Springfield Botanical Gardens. There were lots and lots of beautiful daylilies to choose from, which made it very difficult to pick just one! It was a beautiful day and the turnout was wonderful.
