you have been approached by someone asking you to transfer money for them, it is probably a scam. i politely ask them if they would be willing to ship it to me – with me paying them in advance, with cash or a cashiers check from their bank – and i get angry responses 2/3rds of the time. the scammer is hoping that you will transfer the refund before you discover that their cheque or money order was counterfeit. and do not trust anyone…or give a single person online “the benefit of the doubt”…..learn more on our scams page — avoid scammers by dealing locally with buyers you can meet in person! you or your business is selling products or services online or through newspaper classifieds, you may be targeted by an overpayment scam. needless to say i have blocked his email…and due to my ignorance i wonder how many times my email will be sold. him into the cops and not to contact me further and he had the guts to send me another email today saying that he is sorry and has mailed me a check this time for 1980 and i will get it soon. you even stop to wonder who is on the other end of the emails you send. will need you to provide me with the following information to. instead of receiving a grand prize or fortune, you will lose every cent that you send to a scammer. should definitively contact the police if you have had your property stolen or have been threatened or assaulted by a scammer. story about travis sounds exactly like emails i have received from my ads on craigslist…i reply to their cashiers check idea with “no checks of any kind cash only” i would like to see a bounty on these scammers (dead or alive)! i’m a deaf,so please i will appreciate email conversation and let.[…]one of our guests not too long ago proposed the following website[…]. they’re also magnets for crooks and scammers who love to work through texting or sms., if they try a scam, their address would be known by our government ( a complaint by the victim). these scams often involve goods or services that you regularly order—for example, paper, printing supplies, maintenance supplies or advertising.
