From the Garden Tour

A number of people expressed interest in the Napa Cabbage Salad that Lori Doolin prepared, so she wanted to share the recipe with all those who were interested:

Napa Cabbage Salad
1 head Napa Cabbage OR shredded slaw mix – thinly sliced/chopped
1 bunch green onion – thinly sliced include green ends
3-5 T butter or margarine
2 – 3 oz pkgs Ramen noodles – broken into small pieces
3 oz pkg slivered almonds
4 T sesame seeds
Dressing
1/4 c white vinegar
3/4 c vegetable oil
2 T soy sauce
1/2 c sugar
To cook dressing – combine all ingredients and bring to a boil – boil 1 minute until sugar is dissolved – let cool
Saute broken ramen noodles and almonds in butter in a large skillet until lightly browned – let cool
Combine Napa cabbage, green onion, and sesame seeds in a large bowl.  Just before serving add ramen noodle mixture and dressing mixture to the cabbage mixture.  Toss to coat evenly.
Serve.
